There's an old saying, "still waters run deep." It was always meant as a compliment to the quiet ones. The people who don't announce themselves, who you may want to pay attention to, and who turn out to be holding more than we expect underneath.

I named this brand Stillwater without thinking much about the proverb. But the longer I do this work, the more I think the saying had me figured out before I did.  

The "Runs Deep" journal is a place to write about the things that shape my point of view. Not about clothes, mostly about the objects, places, and small habits that follow a person through a life, and what they turn out to mean.
