What began as a small collection of everyday favorites has grown into an independent women's clothing brand known for effortless dressing, natural fabrics, and timeless California style. More than a decade later, we're still doing what we've always loved: designing beautiful clothes women actually want to wear. 

Every Stillwater collection is designed in our Los Angeles studio and produced locally with a network of trusted patternmakers, cutters, sewers, and manufacturing partners we've worked alongside for years.  Keeping production close allows us to stay involved in every step of the process, produce in smaller batches, and support the community that has helped build this brand. Every order is packed and shipped from our Los Angeles warehouse.

There’s an old saying, "still waters run deep." It was meant as a compliment to the quiet ones who often turn out to be holding the most underneath.  I named this brand Stillwater without thinking much about the proverb. But the longer I do this work, the more I think the saying had me figured out before I did.

The "Runs Deep" journal is a place to write about the things that shape my point of view. Not about clothes, mostly about the objects, places, and small habits that follow a person through a life, and what they turn out to mean.
